Must mash-up!

I don't know how I JUST NOW realized this, but apparently Saved by the Bell is set in Palisades, CA, and Palisades is the name of the rival school in the High School Wars series.  If you remove "Sweet" from "Sweet Valley", you get "Valley" which was Baysides rival high school.

Mind blown!  (...erm, it...doesn't take much to blow my mind to bits, btw).

One of these days I'm going to pull a Roseanne and lock myself in my room and write an amazing mash up, post SVH destroying earthquake, where Sweet Valley High merges with Palisades and lo and behold, our SVH friends meet Zack, Slater, Screech, Kelly, Jessi, and Lisa.  I can SO see Jessica and Kelly getting into a cheerleader war, Jessi and Liz getting into a "Save the Whales" war, Zack and Todd having a basketball war, Slater and Ken having a football war, Screech and Winston having some kind of science war, and Lisa and Lila saying "screw you, bunch of idiots" and maxing out their dads' credit cards and being awesome together.

OMG.  Now I want to write this book.  NOW.

I'm going to find a way to fake having mono for the next 6 months so I can stay glued to my desk and write this.
